You know the feeling. There is a difficult conversation that needs to be had. It might be with your donors, board members, volunteers, employees/colleagues, or clients. They are almost always hard and uncomfortable, and many of the kindred spirits working in philanthropy would rather avoid them–but how about the relief that comes with tackling a difficult conversation professionally and deftly?! Now that’s worth the work.

Let’s talk about those difficult conversations.

Topics:

  • conflict of interest
  • firing
  • not meeting commitments
  • boundaries
  • pink flags and red flags
  • gossip
  • creating a toxic work environment
  • this is not an exhaustive list! Send topic ideas to afpcapefear@gmail.com and we’ll add them to the hopper!

We’re meeting at the American Red Cross on S. 16th Street again.

Free for members, $10 for non-members.

We will record the session and post the video afterwards.
